Rob Grant

Rob has been working as a premium golf club fitter, club builder and club repairer for over 15 years, and has built thousands of sets of clubs for junior golfers right through to professional golfers - most notably Peter Thomson.

Rob has assembled clubs for Mizuno Australia to their exacting standards, and for four years in a row Rob has been recognised by KZG as one of the world's top 100 club fitters.

Rob is our specialist club fitter here at APDR and offers four appointment types:

1. a 30 minute assessment to review your current clubs and advise on possible areas for adjustment and repair 
2. a 60 minute fitting to assess the purchase of a new club such as a driver and fairways, a set of irons, a putter or some wedges
3. a 60 minute club gapping session to measure the distance you hit each of your clubs
4. a 120 minute fitting to assess the purchase of a full set of clubs including woods, irons and putter

To ensure your clubs are perfectly fitted to you, Rob utilises technology including Trackman, Capto and Mizuno DNA swing analysis software, but of course at the range you also have the added benefit of seeing the true flight of your ball.

Rob's fitting philosophy is to work with each individual golfer to understand which style and club design will perform the best for them. To ensure the best possible performance outcome, helping them to be the best golfer they can be.

Rob believes the fitting process takes into consideration your current set make up, your level of expertise and golfing goals while also taking into consideration, your swing characteristics, body size, strength, physical ability, grip-size, grip material, shaft length, shaft weight, shaft bend profile, swing weight, loft angle, lie angle, face angle, and total weight, all with the overall aim getting you to hit more fairways, greens and sink more putts.
